Awe and Wonder!

Occasionally I'll have a moment of primitive thought, then my head kicks in with truth...Sunrise...oops, Earth's rotation! Beautiful either way!

The same it now seems with my spiritual journey, as I read sacred scripture less filtered by way of my 77 years upon this small rotating globe, in contrast with 50 years of rather static religious training.

That's dangerous, religion will tell you!

Yet, much of the literal, repeatedly reinforced recitation of overly filtered doctrinal orientation will tend to prevent one from thinking through the truth of one's experience.

"Ein Sof (אֵין סוֹף) is a Hebrew Kabbalistic term meaning "The Infinite" or "without end," referring to the divine essence of God that exists beyond all comprehension, manifestation, and limitations, prior to creation itself, often described as pure boundless light or "nothingness" from a human perspective because it transcends all concepts. It's God in His pure, unknowable essence, the source of all existence, from which the emanations (Sefirot) unfold, bridging the infinite divine with the finite physical world."

A mouthful I know!!

It is impossible to fully grasp this Being, especially within the allegorical stories alone and apart from true dialog with this One we call God.

Primitive religion tends to prevent such critical thought processes, sadly for many, simply prescribing rote prayers.

When we humans then later uncover truths, (we call it science), religious fears often seeded denial, versus awe.

Yes, the sun "rises" daily, though the cause is the rotation of the earth, as this tiny blue dot we call Earth, revolves around a stationary star some 93 million miles away.

Yes, I am still a believer and the Son still rises daily in my heart, but not because of my disciplined daily devotionals alone, but rather God's stationary, unchanging grace and love for me.

As I open my heart to such love, the inspired truths embedded in the text are more clearly revealed, thus my intellect unleashed, with new aHa's occuring daily as my relationship with the Creator deepens.

Questions otherwise never asked, abound...it's called awe and wonder!

I'm a child once more, though my hair is turning gray!
