Zechariah's Recipe For the Gospel

I was awed by my read through Zechariah this morning, particularly verses 3:8-9.

There is so much Word captured in this one "paragraph"...a recipe for the Gospel:

There's a little touch of Hebrews' "Better Priesthood";

Then the very name, Yeshua adds a dash of salt!

As well, the bold declaration: "symbolic of things to come";

Add a touch of Isaiah & Jeremiah's "the Branch;"

Then Revelation's "seven eyes" & a "white stone with a new name on it;"

Then finally, the prophet tops it off with the best News: sin removed in one day!

Like Yeshua, Jesus later declared, "It is finished!!!"

Oh, and if one cares to look at verse 10..."'invite your neighbor to sit under your vine and fig tree' declares the Lord Almighty!"

You can't make this stuff up!!!
