Wondering What We Miss By Not Going All In?

For some reason, my read through Genesis is now requiring a deeper look into details than in my earlier years.

I was challenged to read the book as if I were Moses, limited in scientific awareness, dependent upon oral tradition, though perhaps, having been raised in Pharoah's court, given access to learnings beyond his peers.

Not to mention his life experience post the mass exodus, adding such moments as the Red Sea parting, extracting water from a rock, the burning bush, not to mention "coaching" thousands of troubled folk through a wilderness!

Makes my few years as a small town mayor pale, though I do know far more than Moses about the billions of galaxies!

I have yet to meet "face to face" with God, as Moses indicates possible given his story of the wrestler, Jacob at Peniel.

With all respect, my study has revealed why kosher markets to not sell cuts from the hindquarters, nor afford themselves the occasional filet mignon!

Religious practices alone seem enough for most of us today, yet I wonder what we miss by not going all in like Moses and others?
