Take Off Your Shoes

Given the sharp divide which politics has brought within the "camp" of Christianity, there seemed a message here as I read in Joshua this morning.

"Joshua ... looked up and saw right in front of him a man standing, holding his drawn sword."

"Are you for us or for our enemies?"

"NEITHER. I’m commander of God’s army.”

Let that sink in...that's where we will find true holy ground!

"Joshua fell, face to the ground, and worshiped. He asked, “What orders does my Master have for his servant?”

God’s army commander ordered Joshua, “Take your sandals off your feet. The place you are standing is holy.”

Joshua did it."

This moment has great potential for constructive change, if we will allow it.

Grace always wins, war always wounds!

And timing is everything. Take off your shoes!
