Our Runway Seems Always Too Short, Full Throttle Required!

Now in our 30th year in Clemmons, these last couple years have been interesting.  2025 would require window replacement, and the year before that a new roof and gutters! 

Fortunately sufficient hale damage had required our home insurance to step up!

Oh, throw in replacement and staining of a few boards on the cabin deck, along with upkeep of the property in Blowing Rock.  The latter which we personally landscaped and now maintain.  

Somewhere in all that, my daughter's family relocated from just a walk through the woods, to the town of Lewisville, which required our involvement, along with grand-parental lifestyle adjustments.

Then this Summer, the long promised Safari with my grandson; so grateful for friends in Tanzania that I could lean upon.  

Yet, that required putting off a necessary surgery until Fall.  Thankfully, both went well!

Then, came Dad's sudden passing, though he did live well into his 100th year.  Following on the heels of Dads passing was my youngest brother, Grieving both will take time.

Meanwhile, that land assemblage project for a large commercial project begun in 2024 still requires my attention.

Oh, and did I share that I have begun my "last book", again?  "Apologetics or Apology?"  Wait, I failed to mention all the "Cabin Talks" with Next-Gen counterparts!

Well here I sit on December 26th and I've run out of year! 

I thought slowing down was what "retirement" was all about!
