God I Hope I'm Wrong!

My hope is that I am wrong with all that comes to my mind as I read through Ezekiel, but my spirit is struggling and requires transparency.
I now wonder if all the notoriety given Dietrich Bonhoeffer over these last few years was not providential warning?
“Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
"'In the pride of your heart you say, “I am a god; I sit on the throne of a god in the heart of the seas.”
But you are a mere mortal and not a god, though you think you are as wise as a god.
Are you wiser than Daniel? Is no secret hidden from you?
By your wisdom and understanding you have gained wealth for yourself and amassed gold and silver in your treasuries.
By your great skill in trading you have increased your wealth, and because of your wealth your heart has grown proud."
Ezekiel 28:2-5 NIV
God I hope I am wrong in my gut, but my responsibility as a citizen and Christ-follower requires that I speak up during this religious madness of late in America.
Struggles like we now face have repeatedly been the case when religion and politics are in bed together. The Good News is that such unraveling seems always followed by restoration. There is hope behind all our pain though silence only prolongs the window of suffering.
