Easter Was About Walking Us Out of Religion & Into a New Reality

That's the best way I can say what I now believe.

Regardless of origin, all men and women seem to wonder at the heavens and the "why" behind the heavens, which seem ever endless, and to our knowledge unoccupied.

Tonight we'll venture still further in our exploration, launching a team from this tiny sphere called, Earth, to circle the moon, all in search of space suitable for human life should we someday need that!

Whether you're an Eden, Garden, Apple believing Christian, devoted atheist or of some other faith, this wonder is the construct for our deepest of beliefs, the construct of all religions.

Perhaps by design, even a means of demonstrating this purest of love to beings far superior to us; angels observing our slow transformation?

This divinely designed wonder has driven the thoughts of mankind as far back as oral and written traditions afford.

What if religion was never the objective of that wonder, but of necessity serves only as a mental bridge to the reality that must be uniquely and individually experienced in order to comprehend?

Distinctly designed to accommodate a most uniquely personal identify for each of us, our "piece" of God!

Each evening the galaxies proclaim it, yet we somehow fail to grasp how inexhaustible this Creator is, settlling rather for some group think, which always requires a price for one's entry...that's religion.

"But, John, I thought you were about religion?"

Religion does seem a necessary schoolmaster, but anything short of divine friendship, where one is fully known, accepted as they are, then empowered beyond the impossible, becomes a mental blockage to the possibilities professed by the Christ.

I truly believe God became flesh, the Christ, though not only to fulfill religion's need for a sacrifice, but to also demonstrate that when the Spirit behind the galaxies is fully received, both individually and collectively, only then will the Body of Christ being nurtured upon this spiritual incubator we call Earth, will usher in a New Heaven and New Earth.

Run-on sentences seem part of my piece!

Perhaps the volume of galaxies will only then make full sense! I look forward to that day!

Now, back to the present!

When Christ came, he immediately began to unfold a reality that religion had long hinted at. Whether at age 12 among temple elites, or in his fellowship with outcasts and the least of society a new message was being unpacked.

Spiritual aHa's began occurring.

Yet, the more that became evident the greater the resistance by those in religion's camp.

How could we be so resistant to love? Surely something must have happened eons ago to separate us from our Maker.

If not a forbidden fruit, as Moses described, somehow our ego, that powerful thought driver, our individual gift of uniqueness, our piece of God became twisted.

Yet this Spirit that had long permeated the heavens, rather than acting out in wrath as religious writers seem to imply, simply in father-like love, began to walk alongside our ill conceived theories, gently crafting means of resolve for our confusion, though Centuries in the making.

Our natural response to rebellion is wrath, thus we conceived a religion built upon such. Abraham inherited it and Isaac almost perished because of it had God not provided a ram!

Isaac's son Jacob later leveraged such favor for profit. His sons, beguiled by such parenting, soon sold their brother Joseph into slavery out of jealousy.

Little did they know that all this was positioning a nation, later miraculously delivered and set out upon a mission. One that across centuries, laided down the track, the trajectory for that One, who would fulfill all that religion had earlier deemed required for redemption, the sacrifice of a perfect Lamb.

The very religion that was birthed from Abram's ram, positioned by Joseph and delivered by Moses, then slaughtered that One true Lamb, as the Passover had long foretold.

Yet, in doing so, that same Lamb then fulfilled all the requirements of said religion, eliminating any rational barriers to our redemption!

Even the means of slaughter, crucifixion, most brutal and in plain site had been long awaited. No longer hidden inside the temple walls, but in plain view, yet the suffering only sufficient for the message of grace.

Yes, unlike others whose legs required breaking so that they might die. This too, was centuries in the making, clearly foretold in the requirements that not a bone be broken!

Had wrath been God's requirement for redemption the Lamb would have suffered more brutally than all those crucified that day.

Christ in us was always and only the objective, not appeasement! Yet, we humans are difficult to convince, now centuries down the road clinging once again more toward religious appeasement rather than loving grace.

You are loved, dont allow religion to tell you differently!

Open the door to your heart in this Easter season, and you'll soon hear the voice of your true Father and dearest friend!

He calls me by name!

Celebrate the season that religion has so ironically helped us capture!
