Deeply Disturbed

This morning my thoughts are distracted from my annual read through scripture, now in Leviticus. That often occurs when I read through this ancient book of the Law.
Yet this morning even more, compounded by current events and the political morass within my beloved country.
To brush off the killing in Minneapolis as a "tragedy" with little compassion for the three orphans left behind, along with governments encouragement to pray for her family, is a disgusting ruse to diminish any anticipated civil disobedience.
The officer if brutality wounded in similar incident perhaps should have not been so soon in the streets. PTSD, though I only know what I have been told from friends suffering, can make one do crazy things in the moment.
Like firing shots into the head of a terrified female driver, even if her actions were truly subversive, rather than stepping out of the way and pursing her by other means.
Back to the why behind all this.
First resolving an immigration crises, purporting the majority as murders, cartel, rapists and insane. Perhaps there were some in the large numbers, but my guess is that some caring father and mother simply saw opportunity for their families due to our "work force" demand.
Likely few of them, often walking across more than one country, some raped on the way, fully understood custom policies. I'm sure many were blinded by hope!
When folk began to recoil at the means used to still the thousands headed our way, watching families separated, those captured sent to "holding facilities" in hostile countries, a new tactic was needed.
That's when drone shots of drug boats bombing seemed appropriate, the hypertension in the streets of America had for sure created such a market. That seemed legit.
Wait, what about combining both strategies as a means of introducing martial law, starting in states where leadership opposes the ruling party?
Though I hope the strategy was not as well thought out by the 1% as I suspect, the drone attacks on drug boats did seem to serve as a well timed prelude to taking oil from Venezuela.
Perhaps a trade was struck behind doors for quitening the storm of Ukraine and perhaps next Taiwan. I know this blows my mind as well!
The 1% do however now rule globally, well secured by billionaire tyrants, some brilliant, others ruthless but well disguised by their faux nationalism.
Where is this taking us?
I'll quote George Orwell, "The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."
