War Never Worked Before!

The more I read of messages sent during last night's halftime show, messages in a cultural language that I frankly missed, the more disturbed this aging grandfather is becoming.

Quiet is no longer allowed in my spirit, but rather a Word, "Do you have the courage."

Many timely messages were sent last evening, with deep emotion, even patriotic, well intended and strategic.

The more I read, the more I realize the dangerous divide that is occurring; no, the rip and tear in the very fabric of our Union. One that economics alone, isolationist tactics, nor mere religious rhetoric will heal.

Political statements with vicious overtones, bantering the "liberal left," deeply positioned with right wing language under a Christian flag, even if well intended, only exacerbates the moment.

This is serious folk!

War has never worked! It's time for the Body of Christ to talk for the sake of a generation asking (rapping) the right questions about our history, yet only hearing old answers from a political system now broken, with a debt load unsustainable.

Shall I mention the influx of fentanyl, by demand on our side, an escape mechanism for those unable to cope, and with less remedy than fellow addicts among white collar professionals.

The sex trade is another story!

War never worked before, though our foreign enemies have long awaited this moment.
