Struggling

Having long planned the trip of a lifetime, a Tanzanian safari with my daughter and grandson, tickets now in hand, I find that window of excitement blurred by a world crisis.
Each morning the media fills our inboxes with newly emerging political strategies offered by the multiple autocrats now in power, each easily vacilate unpredictably between active bombings and faux cease-fires.
Our own aging leader, more experienced in negotiating monetary deals, some that work, some that don't, seems too often publically verbal with his accusations of those he dislikes.
Only hours later, offering accolades and praise as if the former language was of no long term consequence. The most recent verbiage unbefitting of the highest office in our land.
Having just finished the book of Isaiah, I am trusting that the God who sovereignly positioned a young child in Persia named, Cyrus, long before he was empowered to lead, will likewise influence our own future by way of our current leader, though even as I write I question my thoughts.
Yes, God chose Cyrus, a pagan king, and used him for His purposes, even though Cyrus didn't "acknowledge Him" (Isaiah 45:5).
With stumbling words on the eve of a well executed bombing, ours at least acknowledged God, his words, "We love God..."
I guess we'll see.
By His grace!
God put our president just where he wanted him
