One Blessed Entrepreneur

Updated: Jan 30, 2022

Sitting here this morning with my old leather backed companion, now as tethered and torn as this 73 year old. Yes, if you could see her, bound with Gorilla tape, but hard to depart with. Oh, I have others from years gone by, now approaching 50 since I first learned the value of early mornings with text in hand. It's not the stories read repeatedly, nor closely held doctrines designed by the many religious over the years. Rather, the still small voice that I listen for as I read what others have captured on their journeys. That voice sets my heart for the day and deepens the wisdom behind a passionate pursuit of God's Kingdom. That voice assures me daily of an impact that will be sustained long after my spirit is released from this body of clay. I continue to write, now finishing my fifth book, this one the first title I recall hearing in the early 90's! I just now have with enough life experience to justify the title: "Kingdom Business, A Handbook for Christian Entrepreneurs." I just recieved the last chapter around 3 a.m. last night. I quickly jotted down the words on the note pad kept beside my bed. "Allow the Circumstances of Your Life to Determine Your Certifications." All my different life-long continuing education endeavors now reveal a seamless Kingdom strategy. One that I could not possibly have known the day this blue collar kid got in line with a friend who said he was going to college! "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you. Psalms 139: 14-18 NIV
