One Amazing Quarter

No I am not talking about the stock market, though it has been interesting and rewarding, nor is this about my life over the last three months, but rather, what is likely the last quarter of my life, as I am now approaching my 75th year.
Everything I read seems to speak to me of the joy from the three strong quarters behind me. Those experiences, both successes and failures will prove foundational to these coming years. Aging with purpose may be the message here.
Maturity may best be captured in these words, "Immersing yourself into deeper waters with practices that can teach you to not shrink in the face of suffering, but kiss her cheek; to help you welcome sister death; and most importantly, an embodied perspective that cultivates an ear to hear the Divine's voice in storm and stillness." (Fr.Bucko).
The last few weeks have been intensive and life giving with several "Cabin Talks" with up and coming entrepreneurs. Also, out of the blue, and invitation from a stranger in another state to engage with and nurture a local family, as a young father faced the potential of death. He is now in recovery.
As well, the opportunity to share my heart with a congregation I have longed loved given their daring approach to "being Christ" morseso than simply Christian.
Later this morning, I will be speaking to a gathering of educators on the topic of excellence, something they are already doing in a school I was once a part of. My word to them will be about
saying "Yes to Life" thus seeding a sense of empowerment and calling in the next generation over mere delivery of content. AI will likely provide the latter!
As well, with one book awaiting distribution, another is in the making. This one framed around the idea of "Spiritual Practicality in a Capitalistic Society."
I love living in the Red Zone, my last 20 yards, hopefully carrying others much younger on my shoulders, as we walk into these next equally fast moving years!
