Salvaging a Nation

"Even before the pandemic widened educational inequality, only one-third of American fourth and eighth graders were reading on grade level. Black, Hispanic and low-income children have struggled most."

This should be the primary political debate in America, our homeland, as it certainly does not bode well for our future as a nation.

Private schools alone will not fix the situation, nor will racial scapgoating and religious piety, but rather a full blown transformation of our society's approach to education, equity and of course funding.
